Your tour starts at Walletts Court, a lovely hotel set in the rolling downlands, behind the White Cliffs of Dover, and in view of the Foreland Lighthouse.

For your enjoyment we have organised a number of private air displays performed by the Spitfire, whilst you are comfortably seated in the luxurious cabin of one of our executive helicopters.

As the Spitfire wheels into view, we’ll position the helicopter so that you can enjoy the spectacle of this magnificent aircraft performing a private display – just for us. During these flying sequences, you’ll be able to take advantage of the panoramic views from the helicopter, and photograph the Spitfire manoeuvring around us.

You will see the Spitfire in a way that has never been presented to the public before. Using the helicopter as an aerial viewing platform, the Spitfire will fly around, below and above us – you will be thrilled to experience this sensational 360°display, carried out with the magnificent back drop of the white cliffs of the Kent coast, the English Channel below, and views over to France – only 10 minutes flying time away!

With a little imagination, you will experience what it must have been like to meet up with a Spitfire – either as friend or foe, in this part of the country where the most intense air fighting took place during the Battle of Britain.

Sitting in the relative quietness of your helicopter, you’ll be thrilled to hear the bellowing Merlin as the Spitfire soars past your window!

Flight time is 20 minutes with 15 minutes actual display time with the Spitfire.

This will be a spectacle that you will remember for the rest of your life.

After your close encounter with the Spitfire, we’ll land back on the lawns of the luxurious Wallets Court hotel, where you will disembark from the helicopter and stroll across the garden to enjoy lunch (optional) in the lovely setting of the conservatory, which overlooks the grounds. Here you will be able to enjoy watching the spectacle of the Spitfire flying, this time from the ground, as she wheels around on her circuit around the coast. If the weather is suitable, you will be able to sit outside in the garden, enjoying your lunch and wine (two glasses included with optional lunch).

Spitfire private viewing/visit to Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum and RAF Manston History Museum – optional.

After lunch you can be driven to Manston airfield for a private viewing of the Spitfire, and visit the two museums located near the airfield.

The Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museums houses actual examples of these aircraft, and a host of information related to them and other episodes of the airfield during WW2, including the Channel Dash, and the testing of the Bouncing Bomb off the coast at Reculver.

RAF Manston was another WW 2 airfield, famous for the Channel Dash operation, and being the airfield where the first operational Meteor jet aircraft were based in 1944.

At the RAF Manston Museum, you can see exhibits and information about the military airfield throughout its history until it became the civilian airfield, Kent International, in 1999.

We will then drive you back to Walletts Court, where you can round the day off with a refreshing cup of tea or soft drink.
